Garden furniture wholesalers NOVA won’t be found at trade shows this year and they have a very good reason for not attending.
NOVA has boldly stated they will not be exhibiting at any trade shows this year, even after a successful showcase at the Wellness Expo last year. This is due to the outdoor living experts launching the NOVA Experience Centre.
The Experience Centre opened on June 3rd and is already fully booked for June and July, with August and September slots filling fast. But this incredible popularity is only part of the reason NOVA doesn’t plan to exhibit anywhere else this year.
“We’ve been keeping our furniture collections tightly under wraps,” explained NOVA’s Sales Director, Ian Read. “We don’t feel that pictures truly encapsulate the scale or the feel of our showroom, so we haven’t wanted to share pictures. We want people to walk in and feel that impact head-on, not having already pre-analysed everything online. This has created an air of mystery and much anticipation amongst our customers.”
Ian adds, “It’s been amazing to witness customers experiencing the showroom for the first time. We are so proud of what we’ve achieved at the Experience Centre and getting to see people’s overwhelmingly positive responses has been so rewarding.”
NOVA has carefully teased their collections, only showing certain products online, and not issuing brochures. With no planned trade shows this year, that means the only way to see the new range, which includes over 40 new collections and over 150 new products, is to visit the NOVA Experience Centre. This has helped to create an even bigger buzz around the industry event.
Plus, having separated their collection from retailer White Stores, you won’t find their range by visiting that site. “We’ve separated our range completely from that which we supply White Stores, giving our customers much more freedom to dictate their own margins,” explained Ian.
When talking about the launch of the 44,000 sq. ft. showroom in Cambridge, Ian mentioned, “Our customers have been calling for us to open a trade showroom for years.”
“We encourage retailers and garden centres to book a visit with us,” added Ian. “We want to spend time with our customers, new and existing, and for them to see what we’ve been working so hard on in person. We believe it’s the only way to truly experience the quality of the range.”
NOVA is allocating half days and full days for bookings and confidently says less time will not be enough to see the collection and meet with the team.
