May is a record breaker for sales in garden centres
Take a look at the GTN Bestsellers All Products Index chart for May (above) and you’ll see it has been a record breaking month.
Although there have been better Mays in the past for Garden Products, Veg-2-Gro and Growing Media, the fantastic amount of plant sales this month has really boosted business with the GTN Bestsellers All Products Index up 10.3% on May 2015 and up 7.7% on May 2013 the previous best May for sales volumes since GTN started compilin Bestsellers in 2008.
Let’s hope the trend continues into June so the half-year volumes stay in a positive for the year to date as they are currently.

- Growing Media - up 13%
- All Items Index - down 1%
