Choice members raise £130k for local charities

Choice Marketing members have raised £130k for local charities by donating £2.00 from every Gardman Poppy and Daffodil Bird Feeder sold through their 36 Garden Centres. This huge amount of money was generated through the sale of 65,000 cast iron bird feeders. The funds have been distributed to various local charities including branches of the Royal British Legion and Cancer Support Charities.
.
Alistair Bertram of Garden Wise, Dumfries said “There has been a huge demand for the feeders. It’s been crazy. They’ve sold so fast that we had to order extra stock. We’ve had enquiries from as far afield as Canada. Every poppy sold represents a cash boost for the town’s branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland. So far, we raised £7,000 from poppies and £3,000 from daffodils.”

Goulds Garden Centre in Weymouth have raised almost £3,600 for the Royal British Legion and are now using the daffodil to raise money for CLIC Sargent, a cancer charity supporting children and young people. Anthony Gould said he was delighted to have raised such a fantastic amount for local charities and thanked all his customers who have purchased a poppy or daffodil.

Michelle de Lavis-Trafford of Choice Marketing said “There had been a superb response from members in raising £130k. Choice is all about working together for the common good and this activity shows just how much can be achieved when like minded people have a common goal. This also applies to our purchasing and marketing activities which help our independent centres maintain their highly professional and competitive market position.”

Garden Centres who would like to know more about the benefits of membership of Choice Marketing should contact Michelle de Lavis-Trafford at info@choice-marketing.co.uk
