A fruity half term for Veg-2-Gro sales

Half term week saw plenty of fruit plant sales as gardeners prepare for their 2022 growing. That and the slightly later sell through of onion sets meant Veg-2-Gro sales for October were 42% higher than in 2020 and more than double the pre-pandemic level for 2019.

Highlights of the week were:

  • Boulton's Strawberries in Variety stayed at No 1 for the second week.
  • James McIntyre Raspberry Polka was the highest placed re-entry at No 15.
  • James McIntyre Gooseberry Hinnonmaki Green debuted in the GTN Top 50 at No 24.
