Exceptional success for Growth Technology and stockists

A big thank you to stockists and end users for making 23 of our products the best sellers in their category last year (according to GTN figures).

At Growth Technology we are proud to live by the ethos of our founders, Giles and Alys Gunstone: “We use the best quality ingredients to ensure customers receive a perfect product. No short cuts, no compromises. For plants and the planet.”

The secrets for the success of Growth Technology’ products?

Saleability

  • Best sellers: Many of our products feature regularly in the Garden Trade News best-selling products, with 15 products in the Top 100 for 2020 and all our repotting mixes out-selling all competition for another year.
  • Convenience: Our products are available in uniquely user-friendly sizes.
  • Exclusivity to garden centres: We do not sell to high street retailers or multiples.

Quality

  • We manufacture the highest quality fertilisers and the best substrates available anywhere. We have the technology to be able to make unique fertilisers that contain ALL essential nutrients for plants, derived from the purest, most soluble mineral salts.
  • We enrich with seaweed, humic acid and fulvic acid where appropriate, and we do not use urea in any of our fertilisers because we care for plants.
  • Our high-quality substrates are made from clean, safe, professional-grade horticultural ingredients. We do not use spent mushroom compost, municipal waste or chopped up kitchen boards!
  • Design and presentation: Our products are uniquely designed and their presentation helps sell volume.

Support

  • We supply stockists with stands to feature our products; TV screens for educating customers and increasing sales; and free informative leaflets. In addition, we help stockists to organise popular orchid, houseplant and terrarium events.
  • The vast majority of our products are designed and manufactured in Great Britain, and last but not least, more good news: our range of market-leading houseplant care products has now expanded to help increase stockists’ sales.
