Johnsons Lawn Seed cracks code with digitalised packaging

As garden centre buyers look ahead to the spring 2022 growing season, Johnsons Lawn Seed unveils new digitalised packaging to help guide customers in search of the perfect grass seed.

Already furnished with super-informative packaging for their market-leading grass seed, Johnsons Lawn Seed is now offering even more customer support with scannable QR codes on the front and back of all their grass seed boxes. The new look packaging retains Johnsons’ distinctive and instantly recognisable branding whilst incorporating codes which facilitate the customer buying experience.

Once scanned with a smart device, the ‘How to Chose Your Lawn Seed’ code on the front of the box helps customers choose the best lawn seed for the job they have in mind. A second code on the back of the packaging – ‘Hints and Tips’ – offers useful advice on how to prepare the ground before seeding and how to sow the grass seed for optimum results.

Also featured on the eye-catching new packaging – colour-coded according to type - are simplified instructions and a handy lawn sowing calendar, which altogether help to make Johnsons Lawn Seed the best and most user friendly lawn seed for consumers.

Consumer Manager for Johnsons Lawn Seed, Guy Jenkins, said: “There is a booming trend for the use of smart phones and apps for all kinds of everyday tasks - especially shopping - with millions of customers keen to do further research online before making a purchase in store. Garden centres and other outdoor retailers selling products which require some degree of expert knowledge have been taking note of this boom and we at Johnsons Lawn Seed are delighted to present our new and enhanced packaging, which will help them capitalise on the growing trend.”
