Hygeia’s extended Nature Safe range offers retailers a comprehensive one-stop-shop backed by a strong environmental message

 

There is no question that consumers are demanding more from their gardening products, with eco-friendly, organic, chemical-free and vegan all buzzwords that are shaping consumer spend. One company which has worked to tap into this ever-growing sales opportunity is Hygeia with its Nature Safe range.

 

Launched in 2019 to critical acclaim, the range has been expanded over the last 12 months to ensure it covers key areas of gardening where a helping hand is needed. The range currently includes Lawn Feed with Seed, Patch Fix Seed with Feed, Granular Plant Food, Tomato Feed with Seaweed, Liquid Plant Food with Seaweed and Wild Atlantic Seaweed. New for 2021 will be a novel Probiotic, designed to boost soil with over one billion ‘good bacteria’, with potential to increase retailer profits due to the product’s add-on sales potential.

 

This is not, however, expansion for expansion’s sake as Hygeia’s UK Country Manager, Tom Stolworthy explains: “With so much choice within the retail setting, consumers can often feel overwhelmed and end up choosing the wrong product for the job at hand. With Nature Safe we have curated an offering which not only tackles the most common gardening tasks but does so without confusing the consumer or running the risk of ‘cross contamination’ (the wrong product being used with negative results). At the point of purchase, it is easy for them to identify Nature Safe’s environmental credentials via the carefully designed packaging, as well as the functionality of the product.”

 


New for 2021- Nature Safe Probiotic

We’re all familiar with probiotics for humans. The famous Japanese brand has made the notion of ‘good bacteria’ for our gut a household concept, which got Hygeia thinking – could this same concept apply to grow your own? The truth in fact is, yes! With Nature Safe Probiotic, Hygeia has isolated the ‘good’ bacteria or microorganisms, found within the soil of its homeland, Ireland. Once isolated, one billion of these good bacteria are concentrated and bottled, providing UK and Irish gardeners with a product that aids faster germination, and reduces the need for fertiliser as the bacteria do all the hard work.

To support retailers with sales of its Nature Safe range, Hygeia has launched a new pop-up merchandising display, perfect for relocating the product display around the retail environment to drive impulse and add-on sales when positioned next to complementary product areas. With a footprint of just 1m2, the display unit is Stocked with 52 products, including Lawn Feed with Seed, Patch Fix, Plant Food with Seaweed, Tomato Food with Seaweed and Wild Atlantic Seaweed, and delivers a return on investment of at least 43%.
