STV is embarking on the next phase of business growth and investment with the further development of their main production site near Thetford. Work began this month on a 26,500 sq.ft extension to their production and storage facilities, a project which will take until 2026 to complete and is likely to create new jobs, as well future proofing the continued growth and expansion of the business.
Work began in January to prepare the ground for the construction of a new production and warehouse facility for STV at the site in Little Cressingham, Norfolk. This follows the opening of a new showroom and 57,000 sq.ft warehouse facility at nearby Brandon only two years ago. The latest project is likely to take 12 months to complete and the business plans to be ready to move into the new building early in 2026.
Sustainability has been a core principle for the new project. Existing buildings on the site are equipped with 1,000 solar panels and the new construction will provide space to add 1,000 more. The site is already a net exporter of electricity to the National Grid. The new building will be heated with energy generated on site from a biomass boiler.

Edwin Allingham said: “We enjoyed a record year in 2024 and we needed to leverage every last ounce of resource from the existing facilities to meet our 98% service level target. Whilst we expect 2025 to be more challenging thanks to the economic conditions in the UK, it doesn’t mean we are going to slow down our expansion plans. It’s the perfect time for us to invest in growth and development so that we are fully prepared for the next phase in our growth.”
