It looks like the garden will be the place most people will want to be during 2021, with renovating existing garden buildings, and installing new ones, high on the agenda.

Several independent surveys have shown the 2020 trend for summer houses, work hubs, garden sheds and pet ‘palaces’ is set to continue, and potentially get bigger.

“The public has fallen in love with their gardens once again,” said Paul Duffy, Managing Director of Onduline Building Products. “You only have to look at the increase in TV audiences for gardening programmes to see that interest is growing.

“They’ve rediscovered the joy of being outside in their own space, and even using it as a place to work from with a home office.
