With 2025 now just around the corner, the new year will also mark the 80th anniversary of Stewart Garden – and the brand is still going strong!
It is appropriate that an 80th anniversary is classed as “Oak”, given the Stewart brand remains a mainstay of the industry after all this time, servicing over 1000 garden centres and for so many representing their preferred supplier of planters, propagation and garden essentials. Stewart makes much of the timeless tradition of its 80 year heritage but it also continues to innovate with exciting new products and consumer support.
You’ll see plenty of examples of both in this special GTN XTRA issue.
As Gavin Wray, Head of Sales for Garden Centres, emphasizes: “This is such an exciting time for everyone here at Keter. The introduction of so many new products into our Stewart range, along with launching our long established and ever popular Curver brand into Garden Centres, is a real opportunity for both us and our customers to benefit from these fantastic products.
“The response so far has been amazing and I'm sure it can only lead to even more best-selling lines becoming available soon.”

UK Products for UK Tastes

While Stewart is now part of the global Keter Group, it maintains strong links with its UK roots. Looking forward to its 80th Anniversary year, the company estimates that some 80% of what will be sold in the UK in 2025 will be made in the UK, in this case in its injection and rotational moulding plant in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

This includes proven best-sellers like its Smithy Patio Tubs, Cotswold and Essentials.

A localised manufacturing base and heritage help Stewart to stand for classic designs, finishes and colours that are on-trend to traditional UK tastes – with a touch of international flavouring thrown in for the more adventurous!

Stewart’s new Strawberry and Herb Planters provide gardening enthusiasts with a versatile and vertical growing solution that suits the available space.
Gardeners can use them either as stand-alone singles or as a stackable system, and can nurture a variety of flowers, herbs and other plants. Either way, there is a roomy interior that provides ample space for plants to flourish, as well as drainage holes that prevent over-watering.
Available in both Anthracite and Terracotta, Stewart’s Strawberry and Herb Planters offer an added plus, too, in that they are crafted from 100% recycled polypropylene! Like all Stewart Planters, they are also 100% recyclable and designed for zero single-use.
Stand and Deliver: In-Store Theatre
Stewart Garden offers a full menu of display stands, pallet boxes and fascias, posters and more as part of its extensive in-store theatre programme.

Accordingly, the team was proud to win its recent GIMA Best Point of Sale Award for the super-impactful display it developed for its Urban Balcony Planters range this year.

It doesn’t stop there, however. A new series of metal display stands is now in the final stages of development ahead of launching in the Spring. All are designed to attract and focus attention, be quick and easy to shop and emphasise Stewart’s sustainability credentials. They will be wheel-mounted in order to be colleague-friendly too!
The final look is scheduled to be unveiled in the near future. Watch this space!

The Stewart Sales team can now offer Garden Centres a one-stop shop for a selection of Curver homeware products across key families.
New to the market this year, Softex Decorative Storage combines a soft feel and look with a unique geometric pattern that merges function with fashion to complement virtually every room in the home.
That is also the case for the Jute range which is inspired by handcrafted textiles and is equally at home in bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms.

For Kitchen Refuse, look no further than Curver’s Deco Bins which offer a traditional design – but with an easy-clean surface that is also rust and fingerprint-free – and Ready to Collect, the modular waste separation range that is itself made from 100% recycled material.
Completing the Curver launch are no less than seven designs of Deco Boxes with lids, which are ideal for decorative storage, and ultra-rugged Tuff Boxes which are perfect for the loft, garage or garden shed.
