With GREEN×EXPO 2027 Yokohama next on the International Horticultural Expo calendar, the Conference will show how AIPH-approved Expos help cities raise their international profile, create a green legacy and deliver lasting horticultural impact.
Organised by the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) in partnership with ANVE (Associazione Nazionale Vivaisti Esportatori), the AIPH International Horticultural Expo Conference will take place during the 78th AIPH Annual Congress in Bari, Italy, on Monday, 14 September.
The Conference will bring together Expo organisers, international stakeholders and horticultural leaders to share progress, insight and ambition for AIPH-approved International Horticultural Expos. It will provide a focused opportunity to explore upcoming Expos, understand their direction, and strengthen collaboration between host cities, organisers, industry partners and international decision-makers.
Framed around connecting global leaders shaping the future of AIPH-approved Horticultural Expos, the programme will show how Expos are being used by cities and countries to demonstrate the power of plants through public engagement, urban greening, cultural exchange, innovation and long-term legacy.
The programme will bring together the full breadth of AIPH-approved Expos, from A1 International Horticultural Expos, which are major national projects with international reach, to International Green Expos, where cities and regions use plants, gardens and landscapes to support green transformation and tell their own story of place. It will also include International Horticultural Shows, which run for a shorter period and offer a focused way to bring horticultural excellence, culture and visitors together around a clear theme.
Seen together, these events show that there is no single route to hosting an AIPH-approved Expo. From green infrastructure and tourism to public engagement, investment and horticultural sector development, AIPH-approved Expos offer host cities a way to connect local ambition with international visibility, while creating momentum for greener places and stronger horticultural connections.

Programme highlights
Delegates will hear from GREEN×EXPO 2027 Yokohama, as Japan prepares to welcome the world to the next A1 International Horticultural Expo. The programme will also feature future A1 Expos, with updates from Expo 2029 Korat, Thailand, and Expo 2031 Minnesota, USA.
International Green Expos will add another dimension to the discussion, with presentations from Expo 2026 Udon Thani, Thailand; 2028 Ulsan International Garden Expo, Republic of Korea; and Expo 2029 Garden Baghdad, Iraq.
The Conference will also include International Horticultural Shows, with the 2026 Taean International Horticultural Healing Expo and International Horticulture Goyang Korea 2026 in the Republic of Korea sharing lessons from their events, alongside Expo İzmir 2027 in Türkiye, which is preparing to welcome visitors.
Through these presentations, delegates will gain insight into the progress and long-term ambitions of each event, while building connections across the international Expo community.
