Squire's celebrates supplier contributions at plant show

Squire’s Garden Centres has marked the significant contribution of three of its nursery stock suppliers, with awards presented at its annual Plant Show, which took place at Squire’s West Horsley recently.

Squire’s suppliers presented with awards in three categories were:

Best Hardy Plant Supplier Award – Bransford Webbs (Bransford, Worcester)

Best Imported Plant Partner Award – Evergreen Exteriors (Banstead, Surrey)

Best Bedding Plant Supplier Award – Silverlands Nursery (Chertsey, Surrey)

The annual one-day event sees a host of Squire’s suppliers invited to attend and showcase a huge range  of fabulous plants, including hardy, bedding and houseplants the vast majority of which (at least 85%) are sourced from UK nurseries, including Squire’s own. The show provides a perfect platform for suppliers to talk to Squire’s Plant Managers and colleagues from their 16 centres ahead of the new season. The day was an opportunity for colleagues listen to information direct from growers and nurseries, providing insight and inspiration ahead of fresh spring season plant stock arriving in centres.

Sarah Squire, Chairman of Squire’s Garden Centres, comments: “Our Plant Show is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the work of our amazing partner growers and nurseries and their expertise, which is demonstrated in the first class plants they supply to our centres.

“My father and I were delighted to present awards to three of our suppliers in recognition of their significant contribution to our business.  I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all our suppliers for their continued dedication as well as helping make our Plant Show event such a success and a perfect  celebration of horticulture and our industry.”
