Christmas sales up 24% in first three weeks of October

Plants and Christmas have been the star performers so far this October according to the GTN Bestsellers weekly EPOS data analysis.

 

Plants sales in the first three weeks of October have been 3.2% up on 2021 volumes and 14% up on 2019 which means the GTN Bestsellers Year to date All Plant sales volume index now sits at 9.3% down on 2021 but 7.5% up on 2019.

 

Christmas sales have really excelled so far this month.  The GTN Bestsellers Top 50 Christmas Products index for the first three weeks of October shows sales volumes up by 24.2% on last year and 5% up on 2019.  With haft term week’s data to be analysed this week we could be on for a record October for Christmas.  Watch this space for the full months analysis and the first GTN Bestsellers Christmas Charts of the year.
