TGCG announces new Non-Executive Board Director

The Garden Centre Group has announced the appointment of Rupert Gavin to the Board of the Company as a Non-Executive Director.

Gavin is the CEO of Odeon & UCI Cinemas, owned by Terra Firma. Prior to joining Odeon he held senior positions at the BBC, BT and Dixons.

Stephen Murphy, Chairman of The Garden Centre Group, said: "I am extremely pleased to welcome Rupert to the Board of The Garden Centre Group.

"Rupert brings a wealth of commercial experience that will greatly assist TGCG in achieving its goal of increasing customer visits by enriching the shopping experience and making our centres exciting destinations to visit.

"As a keen gardener and as the former publisher of Gardeners’ World Magazine and many popular gardening books, Rupert will also bring a personal enthusiasm and knowledge which will be a further significant contribution."
