Increased footfall drives garden centre sales

July overall garden centre sales are running ahead of the last three years, according to GTN Bestsellers All Product Sales Analysis. Plants are down on last year but growing activity is up and increased footfall is driving up non-gardening sales areas such as gifts and food.

As thoughts move to creating Christmas displays, activities to keep footfall high during the school holidays are the current focus.
