Veg seed packet sales on the up in garden centres
Veg-2-Gro sales have taken a dip on the previous week and are down on the same time last year although gardeners seem to be buying packets of seeds in good numbers ahead of the sowing season.
However, onion sets continue to dominate sales with the top 5 places being taken up by Taylors Bulb varieties.
This week’s Veg-2-Gro star performers are:
- Taylors Rhubarb Red Champagne is the highest re-entry at No 6.
- The highest new entry is Suttons Carrot St Valery at No 18 and they also have another newcomer in Leek Neptune at No 21.
- The highest climber, jumping 39 places to No 8, is Taylors Onion Sets Karmen.
