No snow made for a joyous time in garden centres last week. Christmas sales reached a new high and with footfall significantly up compared to last year when we had our first dump of snow, all of the GTN Bestsellers sales indexes for the week were up with the exception of Wild Bird Care.
With two full weekends still to go before Christmas Day the met office is predicting: “Heading into the Christmas week the most likely scenario is for a continuation of the changeable theme, with some further spells of wind and rain, but interspersed by some brighter but showery weather.”
