Tomato plant sales are thriving

Tomato plant sales still make up 32% of the GTN Bestsellers Veg-2-Gro Top 50 as gardeners get growing outside now for bumper crops later in the Summer.

Seventeen varieties feature in this week’s chart.  With plenty of good link sales opportunities, a final push on tomato plant sales during June makes good commercial sense.

The main highlights this week were:
  • Quantil Tomato Totem 8cm was the highest climber, jumping 29 places to No 18.
  • Quantil Chilli Pepper Jalapeno Hot Shakira 8.5cm was the highest re-entry at No 12.
  • Farplants Strawberry Symphony Autumn 9cm was the highest new entry at No 32.
  • Quantil Runner Bean White Emergo Strips clung on to the top spot.
