From 18% down to near parity confirms great eight months
A final year on year increase in growing media sales sees the sector get ready to close the year at almost parity on 2017. Who would have thought that possible when in the middle of April sales were sitting at 18% down?
It just goes to show that gardening activity has been very strong in the last eight months of the year and as we run into Christmas keener gardeners are still taking advantage of any good weather and getting out on their plot.
Highlights were:
Westland Multi Purpose Compost, 70 litres, was the highest chart climber last week, up 37 places to No 8.
Evergreen Garden Care Levington Multipurpose + John Innes, 56 litres, jumped one position to No 1.
Strulch Organic Straw Mulch, 100 litres, re-entered at No 28.
