Strawberry plant sales rise in anticipation of Wimbledon
It seems the recent heatwave and the expectation of an exciting Wimbledon fortnight got gardeners thinking about relaxing outside with a glass of Pimms. The main movers in the GTN Bestsellers Veg-2-Gro chart were strawberry and garden mint plants.
The main highlights this week were:
Farplants Strawberry Rhapsody was the highest re-entry at No 2.
W D Smith Strawberry (10cm) moved up to the top position.
Farplants Garden Mint (2 litre) was the highest new entry at No 29.
Quantil Tomato Gardeners Delight 8cm was the highest climber, jumping 27 places to No 16.
