Glee Roadshow: date change & deeper industry insights

Glee has announced an important update to its inaugural nationwide roadshow. The first event will now take place on Thursday, 23rd April 2025, at Monkton Elm Garden Centre, Taunton, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

This roadshow is so much more than just a series of regional events - it is a dedicated platform for uncovering the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of garden retail. By diving deep into the regional landscape, attendees will gain real, tangible insights into the unique factors affecting their locality while also understanding how these issues fit within the broader national picture.

With a clear focus on practical solutions and knowledge sharing, the Glee Roadshow is an extension of Glee’s mission as a 365-day resource, supporting retailers in their long-term success. This isn’t just about attending an event; it’s about being part of an ongoing conversation that will shape the future of the industry.

What to expect at the roadshow

Attendees will enjoy a networking lunch with live food demonstrations before hearing from Glee Strategist Boyd Douglas-Davies and other industry experts. The event will also include:

  • Regional market insights: A deep dive into local retail trends, challenges, and growth opportunities.
  • Interactive fishbowl panel: “Navigating Budget Cuts: How Garden Centres Are Planning for Growth” – an open forum for retailers to share experiences and discuss financial strategies.
  • Hands-on workshop: “How to Be the Heart of the Community: Creating a Destination, Not Just a Store” – a practical session exploring ways to enhance customer engagement and increase footfall.
  • Collaborative discussion & idea sharing: delegates will work together to explore new strategies, with the key findings shaping future industry conversations.

The insights gathered from these sessions won’t just end here - Glee in September will take these discussions even further, offering in-depth analysis on how today’s challenges and opportunities will drive change in 2026 and beyond.

Glee Roadshow expansion

Following its launch in the Southwest, the Glee Roadshow will expand to two additional UK locations, with dates and venues to be announced soon. Each event will offer tailored content specific to the region, ensuring garden retailers gain actionable insights relevant to their local market.
