Young plant sales move into gear
Young plant sales have really moved into gear as keener gardeners get ahead of the game.
But the headlines are still grabbed by Primula, Narccissus and Helleborus as instant colour adds cheer to patios, balconies and baskets. Those three genus accounted for 42% of all plants sold last week.
- Pelargonium plugs lead the way for young plants, up to No 4 this week.
- Ranunculus are the highest chart climber, up from No 47 to No 18.
- Fritillaria make a welcome entry to the GTN Top 50, in at No 42.
