The closed-down centre a TV expert 'fixed' finds a new owner
Oak Garden Centre at Chatteris, which featured in an episode of the TV,series The Fixer with Alex Polizzi, has been sold, report agents Quinton Edwards. The centre closed down in October 2013 after the TV programme was screened and was initially on the market for £545,000. The site, almost 3.5 acres, has been sold to a private individual who plans to open a new garden centre there. Quinton Edwards acted on behalf of the owner David White, who has retired from the garden centre industry but will continue to run his other businesses. Mr White said he was delighted with the service he received from Quinton Edwards and added: “I have been very pleased with the professional service delivered and delighted with what has been achieved in the sale of the site.” When the business went into liquidation in 2013, White’s sons took it over but were forced to close "after the cold 2013 season.
