Candles for the festive table dominate sales

In the GTN Bestsellers Christmas chart, the traditional twist takes the form of increased sales of items for the festive table as attention turns to the preparations for the feast.

Two candles make their chart debut - a Pillar Candle from Gardman (our second highest new entry at No.18) and a Small Red Church Candle from Kaemingk, which comes in at No.24. The popularity of church candles suggests that expressing the true meaning of Christmas is still a cherished priority for many.

However, back in the lighting department, the Big Switch-on has led to a surge in sales of spare bulbs, with Konstsmide (new entry at No.13 for their Seven-Light Arch bulbs) and Noma (4-packs of G1s, up 22 places) both benefitting.

Two brands continue to dominate the Top 50: Premier and Kaemingk have 31 entries between them.
