January garden centre sales have been a cause for celebration, of course up significantly on last year when we were still in Lockdown #3, but most importantly up on January pre-pandemic 2020 by 11% and January 2019 by 22%.

Now a great January doesn’t always mean that trend may continue as the weather plays a big part but plant, growing media and garden product sales volumes indicate great levels of demand. That should be a good omen for the season to come.

On Monday, February 7, we will be celebrating with great garden centre teams as we announce the winners of GTN’s Greatest Christmas Awards. If you are at Spring Fair on Monday afternoon do come and join us on the Inspiring Retail stage in Hall 6 at 5pm.  We’d love to see you there!
