Taylors search for the best display ideas in Bulbland Competition

Taylors Bulbs are inviting garden centres to enter their Bulbland Competition which is designed to showcase and reward the best display ideas.

Displays are judged on neatness, point-of-sale, innovation, props, linked sales, impact and performance.

"Each display will have its own merits so get ahead of your peers and stand out from the crowd," said Adam Taylor.

"The autumn planting season offers a great opportunity but is so ofetn missed by gardeners. Some engaging ideas for bulb displays include block merchandising your bestsellers, collecting varieties into colour themes of complementary or contrasting colours, and features such as 'Bee Friendly' and fragrant varieties."

Other tips include drawing attention to your bulbland display by creating interesting focal points and unique displays to draw your customers in. And creating a fun and dramatic focal point will liven up any display or you could introduce a theme to your bulbland area.

To enter the Bulbland Competition, which has a first prize of £200, email photographs of your bulb displays to sales@taylors-bulbs.com. The closing date for entries is September 30.

Last year's competition was won by Melbicks Garden & Leisure with the runner-up being Garsons Garden Centre. A selection of pictures from Melbicks is featured below...
