Bark up as weeds need to be supressed
 
Growing media sales moved back onto the up year on year trend as plant sales moved up week on week.  

Bark and top soil were the biggest movers within the GTN chart. The increase of bark sales ties up with an increase of woven weedstop sales in the GTN Garden Products chart as gardeners look to supress the weeds that have grown so well with all the warm and wet weather we’ve been having.

  • Westland Plant Protection Bark, 90 litres, increased sales by almost 500% to re-enter at No 49.
  • Scotts Levington Bark Bale, 100 litres was the highest climber, up 36 places to No 9.
  • Bord na Mona Growise Landscape Mini Chip Bark, 100 litres, increased sales by 87% to re-enter at No. 40.
