Grower of the Year Awards 2024 now open for entries

Entries are invited for the 2024 Grower of the Year Awards to recognise and celebrate best practices in sustainable production in UK horticulture.

The Grower of the Year Awards demonstrates the high calibre of UK nurseries that lead the way in quality, service, innovation and peat reduction, and offers an excellent way to recognise new and upcoming talent in the sector. Retailers or suppliers can show their appreciation of nurseries by nominating them, or growers can put themselves forward as being amongst the best.

Pippa Greenwood, HTA Horticulture Manager said: “Entering these awards is a fantastic way to promote and to celebrate the very best in our industry, whether you nominate a business or individual for an award or want to nominate your own business!”

As well as a trophy, the winners will also receive free tickets to Horticulture, The Conference – dinner, where they will receive their awards. The winners are also eligible for the AIPH International Grower of the Year Awards where they can go on to achieve global recognition.

Winner from last year, Melanie Asker of Greenwood Plants said: “Winning the HTA peat-free grower of the year 2023 was a great achievement for us and felt like validation of our two-year journey to becoming a fully peat-free grower. It also offered us a fantastic platform for entry into the AIPH’s International Grower of the Year awards, where we were fortunate enough to win the highly coveted Gold Rose award.  We are hugely grateful for the industry recognition that both awards have given us, and they have been an important part of the development of Greenwood.”
