New managerial team appointed at Haskins West End Garden Centre

The 140 full and part time staff at the Haskins West End Garden Centre near Eastleigh have a new management team.

The recently promoted General Manager Peter Callaway is now supported by the former restaurant general manager Ben Harrison, who has been promoted to Assistant General Manager of the Centre.

Ben’s role as boss of the 460 seat restaurant since 2012 has been awarded to 28 year old Marianne Peet,  who started waitressing from the age of 14, and became a general manager for a range of restaurant chains, including Ask, Strada and Frankie & Bennys since the age of 18.  Her career has taken Marianne to Oxford, Milton Keynes, Bath and Birmingham.

Julian Winfield, Chief Executive of the £31 million turnover Haskins Garden Centres group, said that he was delighted that Marianne has accepted the position.

“With Peter, Ben and Marianne at the helm I’m confident that our customers will continue to enjoy the high standards of service at West End, the very successful centre we purpose built in 1996,” said Julian Winfield.

The new team plans to continue to support charitable events throughout the year.
