This large well stocked Garden Centre Plantarea is part of a Nationwide garden centre group who are currently seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Horticultural Manager to run this large garden centre department based in Middlesex.
The Job
The successful candidate will be a hands-on Manager within the retail plant department. Daily duties will include:
Providing an excellent standard of customer service.
Ensuring that the plants are well displayed and in good condition.
Assisting with the husbandry of the plants, incoming deliveries and merchandising stock.
Answering the questions of customers and providing advice.
Managing the staff within the Plant Centre.
Completing administration tasks and regular reports.
The Person
This is one of their leading plant centres so it is essential that the new manager has a good knowledge and a passion for horticulture. Good communication and customer service skills are also essential. Some training in horticulture would also be an advantage and a proven background in horticultural retailing at management level is essential.
