Will there be enough growing media to cope with demand?
With Easter still to come, let’s hope everyone has plenty of growing media stock ready for the weekend.
Last week’s sales were the highest of the year to date and were just above the levels for the same week in 2017 which was the first Easter week that year.
Highlights were:
Traditional Multipurpose composts, most likely on multi-buy deals, lead the way in the GTN chart with Evergreen Garden Care Levington Multipurpose + John Innes 56 litres at No 1, closely followed by Westland Jack’s Magic All Purpose Compost 60 litres at No 2.
Westland John Innes No 1 Young Plants, 35 litres is the highest chart climber, up 27 places to No 16.
Evergreen Garden Care Levington Bark Bale, 100 litres, re-enters at No 33.
