Dobbies continues national refurbishment programme with Moreton Park upgrade

Dobbies Garden Centre at Moreton Park in Shropshire is the seventh store to be upgraded as part of the retailer’s national refurbishment programme.

The store now features a brand-new large coffee shop on the mezzanine level, providing a welcoming space for customers to enjoy hot drinks, cakes and light bites. The main restaurant has also been fully refurbished and expanded, and offers a full menu across the day.

The popular soft play has been revitalised too, with a new separate area created which features more seating and play space for families to enjoy.

The store’s shopping village has been expanded, introducing Edinburgh Woollen Mill and Regatta alongside the existing popular ranges from Mountain Warehouse, Klass, Weird Fish and Pavers.

Dobbies Moreton Park now offers an expanded gardening range, featuring Dobbies’ own-brand tools, as well as growhouses, garden power products and storage.

As well as the biggest ever Christmas range to shop, there are also Christmas events taking place across December such as the Meet Santa experience, along with the popular Santa Paws and Santa’s Breakfast.

General Manager, Jim Noble, said: “The store has been completely refreshed and feels like a whole new shopping experience. With exciting new ranges and the addition of a brand-new coffee shop, it’s looking absolutely fantastic.

“This transformation has been a team effort, with people from across the business all playing their part. A huge thank you to everyone involved – we’re so excited for customers to come in and enjoy the results over the busy Christmas period.”

David Robinson, CEO of Dobbies, said: “This year, we’ve focused on upgrading our stores, and Moreton Park is the seventh to be relaunched in 2025.

“It’s been encouraging to see how the improvements we’ve made across our store estate, both in product range and customer experience, are resonating with our customers. We’re committed to delivering our best ever Christmas, building on the strong results we achieved in spring.”

Completed refurbishments this year are Dobbies’ Brighton, Cadnam, Hungerford, Beaconsfield, Bury St Edmunds, Royston and Moreton Park.
