In Hampton’s Floral Marquee, Blue Diamond created a snapshot of The Octavia Hill Garden seen at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. With the National Trust it has curated a collection of plants either used or inspired by the garden and was selling these, along with a range of seeds, to help visitors ‘get the Chelsea look’.
Rosa ‘Believe in Yourself’ was officially launched at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival this week by Blue Diamond Garden Centres and its brand Fryer’s Roses.
From every purchase through sales at Fryers online and instore at garden centres, a donation of £1 will be made to the Stroke Association.
On hand to introduce the rose was Tina Moore a stroke survivor who was lucky to receive treatment quickly and has gone on to recover and continue to live a fulfilling life.
An open pink/purple flower with slightly darker centre, the golden anthers are easy to reach for pollinating insects. Bred by Rosen Tantanu in Germany, it is expected to be a great seller. “It’s a beautiful shrub rose, reaching a height of 60 to 80cm and has a fantastic fragrance,” said Jill Kerr, Group Relationship Manager for Blue Diamond.
Plants will be available in April 2025 and it’s hoped that sales will continue to support the Stroke Association for several years to come.
