Zest regain GIMA Charity Golf Day Trophy

The team from Zest of Alwyn Williams, Leon Barratt, Simon Davison, Jess L'Hanson regained the GIMA Charity Golf Day Trophy last week ahead of teams from Durstons + Glee and Leon Boots.

In total a record 25 teams took part in the Better Ball Stableford competition held on The Lakes course at Belton Woods in Lincolnshire on Thursday 8th June 2023.

Thousands of pounds were raised for the Greenfingers Charity during the day and in the post BBQ Charity Auction and raffle.  Sue Allen, Greenfingers Chairman said "Thank you all so, so much. Not just for what you've done today for Greenfingers, but what so many of you do in an ongoing way for us."

"Without GIMA and having days like this, where would we be? Nnext year it's our silver anniversary, and I like to think that together next year we will really celebrate our 25th anniversary as a charity."

GIMA Vice President Kate Ebbens added: "I'd like to thank all of you for giving your time today and to our annual charity Golf Day with Greenfingers as our main charity. Thank you for all those kind donations and to Andy Beswick for arranging the teams and for leaving Richard to do the scoring, and to Bob and Bill aka Bob and Boyd for tonight's raffle and auction. Without them we wouldn't have raised all this money for Greenfingers tonight.

"Thank you also to Vicky and her team for arranging an amazing day that each year increases. We had 100 golfers today, which is quite a record. We look forward to seeing you at Glee and our upcoming GIMA Awards in October and see you all next year. Thank you very much."
