Sponsorship opportunities open for 2026 GMG Awards

The prestigious Garden Media Guild Awards – affectionately known as the gardening ‘Oscars’ – will return on 20th November 2026, with The Savoy once again providing a spectacular backdrop for an evening celebrating the very best in garden media.

Recognising excellence across writing, authorship, magazines, photography, podcasting, videography, broadcasting, and social media, the awards bring together the most influential voices shaping the horticultural conversation today.

As plans for the 2026 event gather pace, the Garden Media Guild has unveiled an expanded sponsorship offering, introducing a broader range of opportunities – including more accessible, smaller sponsorship packages – designed to open the door to brands of all sizes looking to connect with this highly engaged audience.

Sponsoring the GMG Awards provides unparalleled exposure to a targeted audience of industry leaders, media professionals, and passionate gardening enthusiasts. It is a unique opportunity to align your brand with excellence in garden media, while building meaningful, long-term relationships with those who influence consumer behaviour and shape industry trends.

New for 2026 is the introduction of exclusive goody bag partnerships, with the Guild now seeking both bag sponsors and product partners. A total of 100 premium goody bags will be produced for winners and shortlisted entrants, offering brands a standout opportunity to place their products directly into the hands of key journalists, broadcasters, content creators and influencers. With many attendees going on to feature and review products post-event, this initiative provides exceptional potential for extended media coverage and editorial exposure.

Alongside this, there are a host of additional creative sponsorship opportunities available – from floral installations and table centres through to champagne and drinks receptions – allowing brands to play a visible and memorable role in shaping the look, feel and experience of the evening.

This year’s sponsorship packages are designed to suit a variety of budgets and objectives. From headline and category sponsorships through to these more flexible and experiential entry points, all partners benefit from brand visibility at the event, inclusion in promotional materials, and opportunities to engage directly with attendees. Sponsors also receive tickets to the event, providing invaluable face-to-face networking with some of the most respected names in garden media.

Speaking about this year’s opportunities, Garden Media Guild Co-Chair Kimberley Hornby George, owner of the garden specialist PR agency Hornby George PR, said: “Sponsoring the Garden Media Guild Awards is an exceptional way to raise brand awareness and build genuine relationships with the writers, photographers and influencers who speak directly to your audience.

“By supporting the garden media through awards sponsorship, you’re demonstrating a commitment to collaboration and industry progression. Time and again, sponsors tell us the connections made on the night lead to meaningful, long-term opportunities – relationships that would otherwise take months, even years, to develop. With the addition of our new goody bag partnerships and more accessible sponsorship options, there really is something for every brand to get involved with in 2026.”
