Haskins Garden Centre manager Matt Hill, from Worcester, will attempt to beat his own fundraising record of £1,500 when his team takes part in the 26th Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride in July.
“It’s now a year since my father Chris died at the age of 61 of Oesophagus cancer and received immense support from his local Macmillan Unit," said Matt, who manages the Haskins store at West End.
"My family will be forever grateful and thankful for their deep understanding of the situation both on a medical and emotional level. It’s fantastic that my colleagues are willing to join me on the 100 mile route. We hope to be one of the top fundraising teams.” The Haskins team are currently training to build stamina and sponsorship support and donations can be made through www.virginmoneygiving.com by searching for Matt Hill.
