North Walsham Garden Centre wins Dandy Weed contest
|
A winning entry has been picked for the @Dandy_Weed Twitter competition which called for garden centres to send in a creative photograph to be in with a chance to win a display stand of Resolva 24H.
Despite tough competition and plenty of imaginative poses, North Walsham Garden Centre in Norfolk submitted the winning image, which shows a classical statue wearing a Dandy Weed mask.
The competition was launched by Westland Horticulture in the April edition of Garden Trade News, inviting garden centres to tweet @Dandy_Weed wearing a Dandy facemask (enclosed in their GTN copy) to be in with a chance to win a display stand of Resolva 24H.
To enter, all they had to do was send a photograph of Dandy Weed in the most fun and inventive way to @Dandy_Weed, using the hashtag #ellomate.
Amy Lawrence, Brand Manager for Westland Horticulture, said: “This is the second year we've run this competition, and once again we were very impressed by the creative and imaginative images we received. “It was tough picking the winning entry, but we felt it really did tick all the boxes. We would like to thank North Walsham Garden Centre for providing us with much hilarity in the office. We will be sending them their display stand of Resolva 24H shortly.”
*Note to readers - Westland Horticulture has altered the image of the winning entry so as not to offend GTN readers of a more sensitive nature.
