The rain relented and the sun almost shone across the country and plant sales were up 12% week on week. Could it be there is an even bigger uplift for the last week of June? Or will it be too hot?
Highlights were:
Hydrangea were the star performers of last week with sales up by 200% and climbing up the GTN Plants Chart by 28 places to No 18.
Poppies are looking good so Papaver as a genus were the highest re-entry at No 23.
Dianthus saw the biggest increase of all pants in the Top 10, growing sales by 66% and moving up 4 places to No 5.
