Dobbies Garden Centre welcomes vet practice at Chesterfield store

Pet owners near Chesterfield will soon be able to combine caring for their animal companions with a trip to Dobbies Garden Centre - thanks to a unique partnership with Carrick Vets.

The new Carrick Vets practice will relocate in the summer from its existing site in Clowne to the Dobbies in Chesterfield. The new practice will maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere while providing current and new pet owners with a variety of additional benefits.

The service provided by Carrick Vets complements Dobbies’ existing dog-friendly approach and its range of pet products.

Jessica Podmore, Clinical Director at Carrick, said: “The site adjacent to Dobbies ticks every box for us. This much larger site allows us the space we need to grow our practice whilst remaining in a central location for our clients. They have been extremely understanding during all the temporary changes we had to make throughout the pandemic. Presenting them with a fabulous, new practice will be a great way of saying thank you.”

Graeme Jenkins, Dobbies CEO, said: “Dobbies is committed to working with companies that share our values.  The service provided by Carrick Vets alongside our Chesterfield store complements Dobbies' established dog-friendly approach and our range of pet products.

“Pet owners will be able to take advantage of the facilities offered by both Carrick Vets and Dobbies, as well as The Muddy Paw dog groomers who are on site too. We look forward to welcoming all the team members and customers who will benefit from these fantastic new facilities at Chesterfield.”
