“It starts with a Pot” campaign is a winner

As total volume sales continue to decline towards the summer hoilday period, the GTN team have been visiting centres for The Greatest Awards, and we’ve found loads of great ideas to help increase new sales.
The best examples have been found as a result of “It starts with a Pot” campaign run by the HTA this spring. So that a Top of the Pots award can be made at The Greatest Awards Summer Party on July 7, the judges have been to all of the garden centres and nurseries who uploaded entries onto the campaign’s Facebook page. What’s very clear is that those nurseries and garden centres who’ve really put effort into displaying plants in pots have earned themselves a lot more sales. “We’ve been seling them as fast as we can plant them up,” Yvonne at Brechin Castle Garden Centre told GTN Bestsellers. “I’ve even had to get extra help, including my mum, to come in and help keep up with demand.” The winner of “Top of the Pots” will be announced at the National Motorcycle Museum on the evening of Monday, July7, during the Solex trade show.
