Tomato plants fuel grow your own sales recovery

Veg sales are recovering and are almost back to the same levels as last year. With a good run through to Easter, volumes could return to 2012 and 2011 figures.

One of the stars of the GTN Bestsellers Veg-2-Gro Top 50 chart this week is Quantil Tomato Timbling Red Tom, the highest re-entry at No 8. Quantil also have the highest new entry in Tomato Sweet Million.

Other star performers this week include:

  • Thompson & Morgan Basil Outdoor, the highest climber, moving up 14 places to No 24.
  • Quantil Chilli Pepper Apache, returns to the chart after an impressive sales week.
  • KinderGarden Tomoato Gardeners Delight, 4 cell plugs, jumps to top spot.
