Schoolgirl's winning design planted up at Teddington Lock
More than 80 local school children entered a competition run by Squire’s Garden Centres in conjunction with the Environment Agency to design a planting scheme for a flowerbed at Teddington Lock.
The children were given a template of a circular flowerbed with a sundial in the middle, and had to suggest colours and patterns that could be planted up to reflect the design brief’s weather theme.
The winning design, entered by an 11-year-old girl, has been planted up at Teddington Lock, and pictures of the remaining entries will be on show there, in batches, over the summer holidays.
