Charlies Stores is coming to Cheltenham in October

Family-owned retailer Charlies Stores, known for top-quality products and unbeatable customer service, has announced  the acquisition of its brand-new Cheltenham store.

Located on Tewkesbury Road, the former Homebase store will be transformed into a one-stop shop offering a wide range of home, garden, leisure, and outdoor living products. Selling everything from wellies to weed killer, bird baths to BBQs and tents to teapots – Charlies have products across every category, to suit every taste and budget.

Their 9th store will bring over 50 new jobs to the area and aims to become a trusted go-to for outdoor enthusiasts, green-fingered gardeners, DIY-ers and anyone who loves top-quality products at the best value. Stocking leading brands like Stihl, Barbour, Le Chameau to Ariat, Le Creuset and more, the Cheltenham store is set to be a must-visit for shoppers.

Charlies first opened its doors in 1986, starting with two small army surplus stores in Mid-Wales. Since then, it has grown into a regional brand with eight successful stores, a team of over 450 employees, and a thriving online store, distributing across the whole of the UK. In the last 5 years alone, Charlies has seen remarkable growth of 78%, reaching an impressive £85m turnover (ex-VAT). With over 50,000 Trustpilot reviews, rated excellent by customers, they’re leading the way with their customer centric focus, offering consistent everyday prices and service with a smile.

Managing Director, Becky Lloyd says;

“We’re incredibly proud to be bringing Charlies to Cheltenham. We’re passionate about creating a shopping experience that’s welcoming, helpful and full of great products for everyday life. This expansion is a significant step for us, and we hope this new location becomes a favourite for locals.”

Keep your eyes peeled - Charlies Stores will be celebrating the big opening in October inviting the community to visit the store and discover what makes the brand a trusted name across Wales and increasingly, in England.
