LED store lighting saves Webbs of Wychbold £29k a year
Webbs of Wychbold are set to save more than £29,000 a year on their energy bills following installation of LED lighting throughout the store.
Ashbourne-based Nick Cash Agencies were briefed to enhance lighting levels, make significant energy savings, create lighting in keeping with a premium retail environment and reduce maintenance. The installation of LED Carbonlights has cut energy costs from £30,270 a year to £5,848. Maintenance costs have fallen from £4,770 to minimal levels – a total saving of £29,192 a year. The project cost was £95,607, so will pay back in just over three years.
Owner and director Nick Cash said: “Many people think LED lighting has to be a bright white colour – but it can be many shades and have the power turned down and reflected at various angles. So if you want a warm cream glow rather than a bright white one, that is possible.”
