Footfall increase as Christmas gets going

Christmas is finally under way and great garden centre displays are driving increased footfall year on year, as seen from EPoS data supplied for GTN Bestsellers. Volume sales are up 6% on the same week last year. With half term on the horizon, all efforts are going into make sure that sales opportunity is maximised. A focus on Halloween is also apparent at many centres. At the AQUA aquatics and water gardening trade show this week, the team from Chesington Garden Centre told GTN Xtra about their Spooky Zoo, Halloween Circus, spooky film shows and spooky teas. Sounds like they’re going to be working their socks off down there!
