Wyevale Nurseries has loaned the WellChild charity a selection of plants for a Spring into Gardening event at the Royal Agricultural University later this week (6 April). WellChild is a national children’s charity that helps to get seriously ill children out of hospital and home to their families wherever possible. The plants on loan include Camellia japonica rosa, Pittosporum Tenuifolium ‘Elizabeth’, Polemonium ‘Heaven Scent’, Anemone ‘Bordeaux’, Allium hollandicum ‘Purple Sensation’ and a number of Hellebores. The event will be chaired by TV presenter and producer Camilla Bassett-Smith. Attendees will learn the tricks of the trade with live demonstrations from green-fingered garden designers, Caroline Tatham and Kate Durr. There will also be an illustrated talk from Chelsea gold-medallist, Olivia Kirk.
