Garden centre owners were among the 500 guests invited to the Dorchester Hotel last night to join John Athwal as he celebrated his 65th birthday, 30 years of trading for Premier Decorations and his OBE, presented to him by the Queen earlier this year.

Alton's, Bents, Blackbrooks, Brookside, Poplars, Squires, Hillview, Blue Diamond, Gordale, Gates, Stewarts, Thurrock and many more enjoyed an evening of dining, dancing and an entertainment line up that included; The Bollywood Brass Band, Young Stars Company, The Jersey Boys, The Secret Singers, a bollywood dance troop, topped off by an almost two hour set from Indian singer and film actress Sophie Choudry.
