New Lakeland store boosts sales at Webbs of Wychbold

An impressive new Lakeland store has opened at Webbs of Wychbold and is already proving to be a big hit...both for the kitchenware company and the garden centre.

GTN Xtra's Trevor Pfeiffer visited the store this week and was impressed by its size and appearance. He also liked the way customers could access the store from the garden centre as well as through Lakeland's own entrance.

Ed Webb told GTN Xtra that the Lakeland store was proving to be an instant hit, and that sales of cookware items in Webbs of Wychbold had increased as well.

The Lakeland premises are thought to have cost £750,000 to build and cover 6,000 sq ft. GTN Xtra understands it is the third largest Lakeland store in the UK.

Lakeland's shop in Worcester High Street, which opened in 1998, is due to close in the New Year.

Here's a selection of pictures taken by Trevor during his visit...
