Penstemon and Dahlias were the big movers in the GTN Plants Chart Top 10 last week as gardeners look to add instant summer colour to their borders and patios.  With sales of traditional summer bedding tailing off earlier than last year, Roses also moved up the chart, showing their value as a summer plant and of course as a gift. 

• Penstemon moved from No 15 up to No 8 on the back of a 33% sales increase.
• Gaillardia climbed the most places in the Top 50, up 21 places to No 22.
• Calibrachoa was the highest placed re-entry, back in at No 29.
