Ho Ho Ho! Christmas in October was up 6% but just misses record
It was nearly, but not quite, a record Christmas in October. October 2019 Christmas Top 50 sales volumes missed the record set in 2017 by just 1.7%.
The month was, however, 6% up on last year. From now on it’s all about driving footfall to maximise sales of all those wonderful displays, having started with Halloween events last week and with Santa’s arrivals soon to come.
Suki unicorn and dinosaur hanging decorations are the highest re-entries of the week in the GTN Bestsellers Christmas Top 50. Armitages Dog Advent Calendar (No.17) and the Cat Advent Calendar (No.25) are the biggest selling advent calendars in garden centres.
